If you are having trouble connecting to matches or experiencing other connection issues, it's possible that a Windows and/or network firewall is blocking the ports that CSN uses to communicate between your computer and the server.
Please make sure that the following UDP ports are open on all firewalls on your computer and network:
8001 ~ 8020
40000 ~ 40200
Below are the steps to help address this issue:
- Allow CSN to communicate through the Windows Firewall and any other firewall/security programs. You may need to do this manually if you're having trouble launching the game or encountering in-game issues.
- You may also need to complete step 1 in your router's control panel in case it is also blocking communication ports.
- It's recommended to scan for viruses and malware to ensure that no malicious programs are causing system instability.
- Temporarily disable all virus and malware security programs before relaunching Steam and CSN to see if they might be blocking communication ports.
- Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may also be controlling communication ports, so it's advisable to contact them to determine if they are locking the UDP ports listed above.
Keep in mind that there are many different types of firewalls, so you might need to find specific instructions for your hardware or software firewall to verify that these ports are open.
